Big 'Shroom

This fun guy
caught my attention by sheer size.
Each of those little yellow flowers
is about the size of a quarter;
the head of this mushroom
was at least 8" in diameter.

The yellow flowers are viridis
aka euryops pectinatus,
known colloquially as 'daisy bush.'

Taken 14 March 2016.

  1. That is a large mushroom. Wonder what kind it is? Nice contrast with the yellow flowers.

    1. Thank you, TFG. I like to eat mushrooms, but not confident about picking them in the wild for myself.
