Had trouble deciding between these two photos,
so y'all just get both of 'em!
So many elements of these photographs
are appealing to me:
water, sky, clouds,
reflections,
boats and their masts,
rocks, plants,
lines, shadows, styles, details of the buildings...
And it all conveys a delicious, quiet sense of peace and joy.
>>>sigh<<<
Nice.
Taken 31 December 2010.
(now you know why i often post multiple photos in each post - i'm terrible at picking just one...)

It is difficult to choose...but I would go with the second shot.....!!

Yes, Tex - it is extraordinarily difficult sometimes!!
ReplyDeleteGood call, Trevor. I was leaning toward the second one, too, because it has more of the buildings and that nice plant-filled foreground; but I really like the way the first way has that "visual Napoleon" layered effect: water, boats, sky... especially the way the masts reach into the sky and their reflections dive into the water... mmmmmm.
Nice shot of the marina! I like it a lot!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! :-)
great shots, Ed............love the buildings on the wharf, especially
ReplyDeleteThis is great, Ed. Love the crisp colors, the peaceful water. Very inviting.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! The horizon lines are straight :) Sometimes that the biggest challenge. I love these types of scenes they always make me dream of getting in a boat and going on an adventure. Thanks for sharing.
