Eagle Cafe

The Eagle Cafe has been closed for many years.
There is still a satellite dish on the roof, though.

You can see that the eagle flapped its wings when the sign worked.

Taken 8 May 2018.

HERE is a real estate listing from at least six years ago.
The photo on the listing shows how the property has changed.
You can see part of the sign in the upper left of that photo,
plus a tree that is now gone,
and an awning over the front windows,
stone facade,
and even a pay phone!

  1. The difference of six plus years of vacancy really shows up in your photos. It's too bad that no one has any use for it. I do like that old vintage sign, if anything, that is worth saving.

    1. As you might guess, the sign is what originally drew my attention. I hope someone rescues it!

  2. Anonimous architecture with a touch of americana. Nice and at the same time a pity by not using it anymore.

    1. It really is a pity. Unfortunately there are many such languishing buildings.

  3. Unfortunately these independent cafes are disappearing from the landscape. The eagle sign is wonderful. Must have been great to see the eagle's wings flap in neon.
