Chair #12

I feel like this comforting bench

has become part of the natural

environment in which it was placed.

Bark

A desolate landscape:

mountains, valleys,

crags, ravines,

buttes, canyons,

riverbeds, lava flows...

texture

line

shadow

shape

hidden images

faces, objects, mythical beasts and creatures.

All for study

in a square foot of live tree sheathing

bark.

Taken 8 October 2010.

Grass Bouquet

Looks like fireworks.

Or maybe hair.

This is a spray of grass in the midst of the well-designed landscaping outside of the P.F.Chang's at Del Monte Center in Monterey, California.

The lines, colors, and textures are what caught my attention.
