Sparrow Valley Church

This dandy avian domicile

was spotted during a fall celebration

at a friend's house.

The tiny sign reads,

"Sparrow Valley Church,

Robin A. Redbreast,

Pastor"

I did not look inside to see how may pews there are.

Birdhouse

This nifty birdhouse

is nestled in a sprawling oak

that I walk past every day

on my way to work.

I missed it for a long time

because it is somewhat hidden

and camouflaged.

But when I finally spotted it

I could not resist snapping a pic.

Shot this birdhouse

on the fly

so the quality of the snap

is not quite what I'd prefer.

Still,

it is an eye-catching edifice.

I really like the long shadows

below the

triple awnings

above those three entrances.

The tiny picket fence

and the flag

are nice touches.

Birdhouse

This well-loved birdhouse/windchime has been with us for several years.

Just like me it is showing some signs of exposure to nature's whims, but it has a bucketload of character.
