Partial shot of the Harbor House Gift Shop
at the entrance to "Fisherman's Wharf"
in Monterey, California.
My primary focus on this shot
was the french doors
and the white wrought iron balcony,
but the shadows are dramatic,
the blue sky,
the green plants....
this picture makes me happy.
Taken 31 December 2010.
I get a pang of fear in me when I see those kinds of balconies - like if I stepped out onto them, they'd give way and crash below... :) Pretty tho!
ReplyDeletethat is a cute little gift shop. I would have to go in for sure!
ReplyDeleteOh I like this! It makes me happy too. In NJ our trees are dead... well bare. The sky is gray and I can see my breath when I go outside. But summer's coming!!!! I'll be out shooting in no time :) Thank you very much.
ReplyDeletehow tropical!
ReplyDeleteRight, Ken! Not as tropical as it looks, though. And, Doreen, it is a fabulous gift shop with many wondrous items. Tex, I'm not sure anyone ever actually ventures out onto this "balcony" - they are content to preserve it as ornamentation. Hoping spring comes soon for you, Karen!
ReplyDeleteOn my way to check you out, Teuvo.
