Blue-gray paint almost matches the tone of the sky.

I was a little concerned about the "crime scene" tape

at the entrance, then realized it was standard "caution/cuidado" tape

protecting newly installed tile and handrails on the steps.

Fallen Friend

This knight statue

appears to be standing watch

over the tragic remains

of a fallen friend.

Some might say this is a stretch,

but I see a dog with its tongue hanging out...

Two Palms

I am convinced that at some time in the past

these palms marked some kind of entrance;

like on either side of a driveway, or sidewalk

leading up to the front entrance of a building.

Now they stand guard over a large vacant lot.

for the making of concrete mix, etc.
