Cherry's #10

This one leaves me
utterly
beyond words.

Can you make out the "hood" ornament?

Cherry's #3

This 1926 Dodge is amazing to behold.
One wonders what the original owner would think of this paint job.
To our 21st century hot rod lovin' eyes, the "real fire" effect is awesome.

The high gloss, the fire effect on a black background and very little further customization make this a stunning specimen.

Original hood decor (or darn good replicas) includes the irresistible cloisonne-like Dodge Brothers emblem.

The high gloss plays a few tricks on the eyes.
I managed to capture myownself in the rear window.

Taken 12 September 2010.

Modest but reliable Canon PowerShot A590.

Grilled Hot Rod

The owner might take exception to me referring to his car as a "hot rod."
I don't know enough about the specialized lingo of auto aficiandos to be precise.
This was taken at Cherry's Jubilee, an annual event in Monterey.
I took this picture Sunday morning at Laguna Seca, 12 September 2010.
Hundreds of cars, and I took hundreds of pictures. You will no doubt see a few more in the coming weeks.
