Fabric Pattern #11

A relatively mild pattern in the carpet at a DC hotel.
Vaguely suggests square floor tiles,
but...
a kind of ominous repitition
of goats' heads.

Fabric Pattern #6

Y'all can draw your own conclusions.
I like the colors,
and the way the pattern of the colors
in the weave
creates subtle illusions
of depth
and motion.

Hotel room carpet.

Fabric Pattern #3

Detail from the carpet inside one of the elevators
at a hotel in Garden Grove, California.
Nice color combinations,
and it manages to achieve a bit of a 3D effect,
or an optical illusion.
I almost tripped on it
cuz I thought it was sticking up
out of the floor...  :8-D
although if you look at it another way
it looks like you could fall down into it
like it is a tube that is receding into the distance below.

Brighten the Corner

It's just a tabletop and a carpet pattern;
but the warm tones, the size differential, and the geometric lines grab the attention.
Well, at least they grabbed my attention;
hence this photograph.

Taken in Garden Grove, California; 14 October 2010.
