Cherry's #4

1963 Ford Thunderbird convertible.
What a beaut!
When I was in college in 1975 we bought a hardtop version of this very car.  We loved it, but couldn't afford to maintain it at the time.
Great memories, though.

Taken at Cherry's Jubilee, Laguna Seca, 12 September 2010.
The indefatigable Canon PowerShot A590.

  1. Thank you for your kind comments today!

I like this photo a lot. That's back when a Thunderbird looked like a Thunderbird ought to look!

In 1965 I was in graduate school in Chicago and worked for a heating oil company. The owner and his son both had 1963 Corvettes. One of my jobs was to ensure they were clean, inside and out.

But it paid well. I was a member of the Teamsters!

  2. These Thunderbirds always make me want to pull a Thelma and Louise (the road trip part, not the murder suspect part)
